We intend to import 01 batch of agricultural products: dried cartilage (eucheuma cottonii), unprocessed, used as raw materials for the production of jelly. Packing specifications and symbols: No labels, packed in sacks, weight: 90kg / bag. Origin: Philippines .: - Do import procedures need to register for phytosanitary and food safety inspection? - What is the import tax rate and VAT on this agricultural product?

 - Seaweed, algae and products produced from seaweed, algae used as food on the list of goods subject to phytosanitary inspection under Section 11; subject to food safety inspection according to Section 12, Appendix 1- HS code table for the list of goods under the management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development according to Circular No. 15/2018 / TT-BNNPTNT dated 29/10/2018 by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development

Note, Processed eucheuma seaweed, HS 1212.21.19 as Filler, antifreeze, carrier, emulsifier, foaming agent, polishing agent, stabilizer, thick on the List of FOOD, FOOD ADDITIVES, FOOD PROCESSING SUPPORTING SUBSTANCES AND TOOLS, PACKAGING MATERIALS, CONTAINING FOOD CODE OF GOODS determined according to the LIST OF EXPORTED AND IMPORTED GOODS According to Circular No. 05/2018 / TT-BYT dated 05/14 2018 of the Minister of Health.

- Import tax rates are looked up on the list of goods subject to import tax according to Appendix II - Preferential import tariff according to the list of taxable goods issued together with Decree No. 125/2017 / ND-CP November 16, 2017 is amended and supplemented in the Government's Decree No. 57/2020 / ND-CP.

- The VAT rate is based on the current VAT Schedule of the Ministry of Finance in accordance with Circular 83/2014 / TT-BTC.
