Ngày 22/7/2015 Cục Giám sát quản lý có công văn số 794/GSQL-GQ 3 trả lời báo cáo vướng mắc của Cục Hải quan TP Hồ Chí Minh, nội dung:

Căn cứ công văn số 11275/BCT-XNK ngày 05/12/2011 của Bộ Công thương về việc nhập khẩu xe ô tô là quà biếu, quà tặng theo đó: “Quà biếu tặng gửi cho cá nhân tại Việt Nam không thuộc các đối tượng nêu tại công văn số 4640/BCT-XNK và công văn số 7470/BCT-XNK nêu trên, vì vậy khi nhập khẩu phải tuân thủ quy định tại Thông tư số 20/2011/TT-BCT, ngày 12/5/2011 của Bộ Công thương quy định bổ sung thủ tụcj nhập khẩu xe ô tô chở người loại từ 09 chỗ ngồi trở xuống”

Như vậy, trường hợp người thân ở bên Mỹ tặng cho 01 chiếc xe ô tô mới 100% hiệu Ven Za đời 2015, loại 2,7 L , 5 chỗ ngồi thì không được phép nhập khẩu theo hình thức quà biếu phi mậu dịch.
