Packaging is a packaging activity that understands the characteristics of the goods as well as the natural conditions it suffers during transport, ensuring the safety of the goods but still ensuring ensure the highest economic efficiency.
Package (commodity packaging) is a special type of industrial product used for packaging and storage to protect the use value of goods, facilitating storage, transport, loading and unloading. and product consumption.
2) Classification
According to the use of packaging:
-   Inner packaging (including hanging type packaging, carrying case, easy-to-open packaging, spray packaging, synchronous packaging, gift packaging);
-   Outer packaging.
According to the number of uses of packaging:
-   Single-use packaging;
-   Packaging used many times.
According to the compressive properties of the packaging:
-   Hard packaging;
-   Half-hard packaging;
-   Flexible packaging.
According to manufacturing materials:
-   Wooden packaging;
-   Metal packaging;
-   Textile packaging;
-   Paper packaging, carton;
-   Packaging by artificial and synthetic materials;
-   Glass packaging;
-   Bamboo packaging.
3) Request For Packaging When Packing Goods
-   Suitable for the type of transport (ships, aircraft, trucks, bulk cargo, container cargo ...);
-   Suitable size for easy storage, on pallets or in containers;
-   Meet the requirements of durability, toughness to withstand the impact, pulling, pushing during storage, handling and sea, air and road transport;
-   Suitable for climate change, weather in different areas;
-   Ensure product protection features of the packaging so as not to make the product smell, moldy, damaged;
-   Show clearly the requirements to be noted in the process of loading, transporting, loading and unloading ... on the packaging.
4) Packaging Methods (Packaging)
-   Unit packaging: This way of packaging corresponds to units purchased by the final consumer. Packaging must be suitable for goods, used for a long time and with accompanying barcode for payment;
-   Bulking packaging: Corresponding to the unit purchased by a retailer or distributor. Goods are usually packed into cartons, cartons and gathered on pallets.
-   Group packaging: All packages on pallets will be tagged SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) to determine the number of cartons / cartons of the entire shipment, Expiry date and number of shipment.
 Packing Goods, Important Jobs In Logistics Services
-   Warehouse packaging (Warehouse packaging): The products are stored on the shelf / rack system. The packaging size must match the size of each position. Oversized product packaging will be placed at the bottom or top of the stand. Packing warehouses must be opened or closed regularly; Avoid moldy moisture, insects and pollution factors from the outside.
-   Packaging of shipping packages: Determined based on shipping route. transport time, loading and unloading facilities, lifting goods, climate and environment of related areas. The packaging of shipping packaging follows international packaging standards - especially ISO, Technical Committee 122 and WPO (World Packaging Organization).
5) How to Packing Some Items
5.1) For electronic goods:
-   Laptops, printers, phones, monitors ... using cushioning materials are foam, foam, soft foam. These are special pads such as polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PU), and polypropylene (PP). These foams protect fragile items from collisions and affect normal handling conditions and maintain this level of protection throughout the distribution process. These foams are specially designed and pre-manufactured to match the size and weight of the product.
5.2) For fragile goods:
-   The material used for fragile packaging is the air-tight bubble sheet. These bubbles have a shock-resistant function. When packing, use specialized packaging paper. This will prevent products from being damaged by bumps and protect the product from vibrations due to force transferred from outside the bin. Use enough foam to make sure not to move the item inside the bin when shaking the barrel.
5.3) For liquid bottles:
-   Containers and bottles containing liquids must be sealed to prevent the liquid from flowing out even if it is inverted. If there are many bottles in a container, they must be separated by partitions or use elastic materials sealed between gaps to prevent product movement. Inserting materials such as air bubbles, foams, sponges and seeds.
5.4) For curled items:
-   Drawings, maps ... are curled and put into plastic water pipes or covered with paper with toughness and then put into paper boxes.
5.5) For food packaging:
-   Packaging is a container, covering food into an odd unit for sale. The packaging may consist of multiple coats, which can be completely covered or only partially covered. -   When using quality packaging machines, packaging is packaged in three forms:
   + Sealed packaging - contains products that prevent the external environment from entering the food storage environment to ensure that the quality of the food is not altered during the preservation period.
   + Open packaging - direct packaging of fresh fruits or vegetables, foods not preserved, processed immediately.
   + Wrapping on the outside - packaging containing food directly, creating blocks of products for convenience and safety in transportation or storage.
